AMSEC BF7240 Gun Safe Description:
Proudly made in America the BF series gun safes are made with quality in mind. The BF7240 has a list of impressive features: ½"steel plate door, DryLight composite insulation, Three-Way bolt work, 90 minute fire rating, 11 massive 1½" bolts, U.L. Group II Lock, commercial grade hinges just to name a few. The BF series safe is available in 5 sizes, and is sure to exceed your expectations.
BF Door Specifications:
- 1/2" steel plate door combined with 1" DryLight insulation.
- 11 massive 1-1/2" thick locking bolts to provide superior door security.
- Three-way bolt work
- Commercial grade high security exterior hinges for additional security and full access to the elegant interior.
- Equipped with a U.L. listed group II lock protected by a massive hardplate and internal re-locker
- Equipped with external relocker for additional security.
- Bolt detent system holds bolts in the open position preventing damage to bolt work & body.
BF Body Specifications:
- Body encloses a proprietary DryLight insulation eliminating the use of gypsum board.
- 2" total wall thickness on all sides.
- Two layers of steel consisting of an outer and inner steel liner for dual security protection.
- 4 pre-cut anchor holes and 1 pre-cut electrical access hole.
- Awarded the U.L. Residential Security Container (RSC) burglary classification.
Unmatched Fire Protection:
- Mercury class II fire protection of 1275º degrees for 90 minutes. Designed to maintain an interior temperature of less than 350 degrees.
- New DryLight insulation is poured between inner and outer steel walls for premier fire protection.
- Dual fire seals around entire door. Silicon seal on door jamb & Palusol seal on door giving the door a snug fit with added fire protection.
- Palusol seal expands up to 8 times its original thickness when exposed to heat.

- HIWL120 LED Light Kit optional with every BF series gun safe. The HIWL120 has two 39" light strips with 120 high-intensity white LED’s and a motion sensor that automatically turns itself on when motion is detected and turns itself off 30 seconds after you leave the area.

Store-it Safe Cabinets:
The Interior Stor-it cabinets from American Secirity are a popular option for the BF Series gun safes. Choose the 2 drawer cabinet or 4 drawer cabinet, or stack both on top of each other.
BF Series Color Options:
The BF Series gun safes are available in 13 different colors at three different price points. The base model price includes your choice of 4 different textured finishes: Black, Granite, Sandstone, or Chocolate Brown. If your looking for a nice finish at a low price, consider the two-tone finishes: Black body with a high gloss Onyx door, or Granite body with a high gloss Charcoal door. For an outstanding, truly elegant gun safe choose from 7 different high gloss finishes: Platinum Metallic, Burgundy Metallic, Onyx, Pearl, Hunter Green Metallic, Macadamia Metallic, or Charcoal Metallic.
BF Series AR Gun Rack Option:
The AR gun rack is an added rack designed to support shorter barreled guns inlcluding: ARs, AKs, small shot guns, and more. Arrange your short barreled guns, and enjoy the upper shelf for added support.
(Premium Door Organizer):
The American Security premium door organizer (PDO) provides organization and quick access for gun owners. Available in 6 sizes, and on all AMSEC gun safe models 30” or wider, each PDO has specifically designed locations for handguns, long guns, clips, as well as a place pouches to store other miscellaneous items. The larger safes have more room for more pouches, holsters, and clips. The most appealing feature to the premium door organizer is the long gun storage. Every premium door organizer has two positions on the door designed to hold a long gun and if you observe closely you can notice the guns are secured using Velcro so that they can be easily removed in the event of an emergency.
